The starting situation
Zumord brings together Dr. Zuhair Al-Muzaidi's books, courses and content on human values and social consulting in one place for his audience. That audience reads and searches in both Arabic and English, which meant the site had to work as two genuinely separate, well-built experiences — not one English site with a translation layer on top.
The problem
Most "bilingual" websites in Kuwait are an English site with Arabic content bolted on: a toggle that swaps text but keeps a left-to-right layout, fonts that weren't chosen for Arabic readability, and one set of SEO metadata covering both languages. That approach reads as an afterthought to Arabic-speaking visitors, and it under-serves Arabic search entirely.
What I built
Zumord got genuine right-to-left layout — not a stylesheet flip, but a layout built to work properly in RTL — along with Arabic typography chosen for actual readability, not just availability. Each language got its own real URLs rather than a toggle that hides content behind JavaScript, and titles and meta descriptions were optimized independently per language instead of sharing one set of tags.
